Puppy Vaccine Schedule: What And How Can One Maintain?

These are the annual Puppy vaccine schedule; canines need to keep them protected and healthy.

1. Rabies is a core vaccination. It is to recommend that your dog receives annual boosters after the initial injection as it is fatal and has no treatment yet.

2. Distemper is another critical vaccine. It is an airborne virus that may cause permanent brain damage. Two doses of distemper are in administration to dogs over sixteen weeks old three-to-four weeks apart.

3. Parvovirus is also a core vaccination administered for its contagious and fatal disease. Doses are similar to that of distemper, followed by booster shots at least once every three years.

4. Lyme disease. If your dog is for exposing to ticks carrying Lyme disease, Lyme disease vaccinations should be in administration.

For continued protection and safety for your pet, you can also opt into a 3-year vaccination plan, i.e., a booster shot every subsequent three years. Consult a veterinarian for all the details of the project.

Finally, if you are a dog/s owner in Albuquerque, check out the annual dog vaccinations services by vets at Petroglyph Animal Hospital, my mom is a dog lover. Once she got her dog vaccinated at this hospital, and her experience was great with the vets and their services.

Are Dog Vaccines Less Safer Than Human Vaccines?

No, we don’t want to kill dogs while vaccinating them against deadly diseases. The rabies vaccine, just FYI, goes through 180+ “dilution” cycles, if you will, a 48 hour incubation period within an egg, which takes a full year, before the resultant virus is considered safe, and then they kill it, just to be sure. The manufacturers must label and mark the vaccines with numbers, which are in record with the date. And then the time administered and from which lot number, to make sure that the vaccines, if one should turn up spoiled, are removed from the supply chain, and all animals vaccinated with vaccines from that lot are re-vaccinated.

Other vaccines administered at the same time are intentionally in place in different locations in case of a reaction to the rabies injection (it can be treated easiest in that location, also, should it cause a very nasty response).

More To Know About Puppy Vaccine Schedule

Rabies is one of the few vaccines that treat the same virus in all orders of mammals. For other diseases, the vaccines are specific to the species’ virus, such as Coronavirus in dogs, which is FIP in cats. The same type of infection, two different species, two different vaccines. This is not to say those that manufacturer rabies for dogs slap a label on them and say “ok for humans” – the protocol is different. But rabies is called a zoonosis, a disease that is communicable across more than one order of a class of animals, in this example, carnivores and primates.

Sorry to stray there, but animal medicine is equally as safe as people medicine.
