Playtime for the dog is not just enjoyable for a dog but also helps in proper exercise. It also brings pleasure to a pet parent to watch their dog play. The play can be with anything, maybe with dog rope or maybe some other. There can be many ideas that can be kept in mind while deciding a toy for your dog. The few varieties which I preferred while buying toys for my dog are listed here:

Playing With “Dog” Rope And More

1.               Squeaky toys: These were his favorite. He used to jump on the toy and then run around when the doll made a squeaky sound. The material of the toy should be non-toxic.

2.   A tennis ball or any other ball(not too small): They are somewhat the most favorite toy for dogs. It involves much exercising for the dog, and that is a great thing.

3. Bone toy: A bone toy is also a good toy for a dog. They enjoy chewing it. My cousin’s dog hides it and then digs it later, and starts playing with it.

4. Tug-Of-War Rope

A timeless classic game with both humans and canines, a Tug-of-War rope is a knotted, thick rope that allows two players to pull and pull and pull! Dogs positively adore playing this game with their favorite human or another doggy companion.

5. Kong

A Kong, which comes in various sizes from tiny to huge, is a very bouncy rubber toy and shaped like a cone. Dogs can play with it as is, but usually, Kong’s stuff with a treat (like peanut butter or cream cheese), so your pet can spend oodles of time trying to get to the yummy center.

6. Frisbee

Active, high energy dogs tend to enjoy playing frisbee. While you can certainly purchase one at your local pet supply store, a regular frisbee will do just as well for fun times with your furry best.

7. Tennis ball

Tennis balls are an all-time favorite toy for dogs. Coupled with a “ball launcher” that can purchase at most pet shops, and you’re also able to prevent your throwing arm from getting sore. Because, you know, Fido will want you to throw that ball over, and over, and over…

8. Interactive food feeder

An interactive food feeder is a unique item as it creates an exciting puzzle for your pet. Mentally challenging with a food treat at the end once the problem is solved, you’ll love seeing your pet use their nose, muzzle, tongue, and paws to figure out this cool toy.

There are so many other varieties of toys available such as rope toys, rewarding toys and a few more, but what matters the most is it should not hurt the him in any way. Dogs are creative and are capable of converting stuff in homes into their toys.

Like humans, animals do have a nature to play and enjoy. Toys are essential for pets, especially for puppies. Because of their teeth, their gums can get sore while they grow. Chewing toys make your pet feel lesser pain and help in keeping their teeth clean.
